Two Bowling Green High School students may be facing drug charges after they were discovered with
suspected marijuana at the school on Friday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office was initially involved in the case after a Milton Center resident
informed them they observed two students smoking in their yard while waiting for a school bus.
The pair reportedly then hid a marijuana pipe on the property. Deputies called to the site subsequently
found the item.
The BG Police then became involved in the investigation and, at the high school, found a substance that
appeared to be marijuana in the possession of the two students – a male, aged 17, and a female, 15, who
are apparently brother and sister.
The matter has been referred to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s office for consideration of drug paraphernalia
and drug abuse charges.
