|BG Police warns of possible postal scam|

On Thursday the Bowling Green Police Division took a report of a possible scam involving the U.S. Postal Service.
An e-mail was sent to a person indicating a package they were to receive was unable to be delivered. The person was not expecting a package and the e-mail went on to inform them that they should follow certain steps to print a label and present it to the U.S Post Office. The person was informed in the e-mail that failure to do so would result in a charge to the individual.
The post office confirmed the e-mail was not sent by the USPS.
Persons should be alert to e-mails asking for information or requesting completion of a task that you have no prior knowledge of.
