Bowling Green’s Planning Commission Wednesday night approved a subdivision not requiring a plat at
the south end of Hillcrest Drive and south of the Birch Street right-of-way.The approval includes six
waivers, some with conditions, and requires utility easements. The property is owned by Harold and Linda
Hanna. The city is requiring a 15-foot utility easement on the west side of the property and a 35-foot
utility easement on the east side of the property. The property has space for one house. The commission also
set a public hearing for its Jan. 8 meeting on the annexation of 2.409 acres of land on North Main Street
from Plain Township. David A. Knauss is the petitioner. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. because the Zoning
Board of Appeals meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. The planning meeting is normally held on the first
Wednesday of the month but the New Year’s holiday conflict caused the change.Commission members were also
told that work has begun on updating the land use section of the city’s master plan.
