Bowling Green is seeking applicants for its HUD-funded Mobile Home Repair program.
Income eligible residents of the city who own their mobile homes and have homeowner’s insurance can apply
for assistance with repairs totaling up to $3,000.
Eligible work includes, but is not limited to, electrical wiring, plumbing, roofs, heating system repair
or replacement, insulation/weatherization and any other work necessary to correct health and safety
hazards or deficiencies.
The assistance is offered in the form of a deferred payment, zero percent interest loan that is forgiven
if the applicant maintains ownership of the home and complies with all program guidelines for a period
of three years. Qualified projects are completed on a first come, first served basis.
Properly licensed and insured contractors are sought to provide estimates to participating homeowners for
the program as well as other grant-funded home repair work. Minority and/or woman owned businesses as
well as Section 3 businesses are encouraged to participate.
