A Bowling Green man has been ordered to serve 30 days in jail for his sexual offenses.
John Garrett, 56, of Evers Ave. and formerly of Clough Street, pleaded guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of public indecency. He was placed on four years of community control sanctions, which included the jail sentence.
During his incarceration he shall enroll in the SEARCH program at the Northwest Community Corrections Center.
Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Pollex handed down the sentence in the case, covering for Judge Reeve Kelsey.
Garrett must also register as a Tier 1 sexual offender.
According to court documents, he had forced sexual contact with a 66-year-old woman in May of 2011; and with a 47-year-old woman in June 2011. Both charges are fourth-degree felonies. The public indecency charge is a misdemeanor offense.
Should he violate the community control sanctions, he could be sentenced to up to three years in prison.
As per a plea agreement, a second count of public indecency and a third count of gross sexual imposition were dismissed.
