A Bowling Green State University student was killed in a motorcycle crash on U.S. 6 in Damascus Township Monday.
According to the Henry County Sheriff's Office, Joshua LaRoe, 24, Bowling Green, was stopped westbound on Route 6 at the intersection with County Road 2, preparing to turn onto that roadway.
A westbound semi tractor-trailer driven by Kevin Lucas, Bryan, failed to stop in time and ran into the rear end of LaRoe's motorcycle.
LaRoe, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected form the motorcycle and landed on the south side of Route 6.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported by McClure EMS.
LeRoe was a 2013 graduate of BGSU with a degree in computer science, and was pursuing a master's degree there.
