The Bowling Green Convention and Visitors Bureau's program formerly known as "Be a Tourist in your Own Town" is now called "Passport to BG" which highlights fun things to do, places to eat and interesting places to shop in Bowling Green.
The event will be held Sept. 21-22. which is also Falcon Family Weekend at Bowling Green State University.
Attendees can pick up a BG Passport from the BGSU/ BG Visitor Center, 2151 Alumni Drive and get it stamped at 10 participating locations to enter-to-win a prize package.
There is no charge for businesses to participate, however, participating businesses must provide an incentive for guests to visit. Offers can include a unique experience, giveaways, free samples, free entertainment, buy one get one free, special offers and super discounts. Businesses decide what days and what hours to participate.
With participation the business will be listed on the BG Passport as well as print and social media promotions.
The deadline to participate will be Sept.10.
