Accompanying Bowling Green State University's Family Weekend Oct. 24-25, the Bowling Green Convention and Visitors Bureau will be hosting the third annual "Be a Tourist in Your Own Town."
BG attractions, parks, and hospitality businesses are being invited to participate in this event to showcase BG.
This is a chance for the community and our visitors to familiarize themselves with what Bowling Green has to offer, as well as spread the word to others.
This year's event will be a little different than in the past - the event will take place over two days, and each business will determine its own hours of operation and days to participate.
Participating venues are being encouraged to have discounted entry fees, giveaways, raffles, entertainment, special offers and promotions.
A tourist guide will be published in the Sentinel-Tribune and will be made available at all participating venues.
This expanded event will be promoted to the BGSU Families, Wood County and Northwest Ohio.
To sign up as a participating venue, contact the CVB office at (419) 353-9445 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
The deadline to participate will be Oct. 2.
