Bowling Green Police are investigating an attempted abduction of a female child in Bowling Green Monday
afternoon near the Police Division.
According to the report, the girl said the suspect was a heavy-set white female, possible in her
mid-thirties, wearing a gray t-shirt with a short haircut. She was sitting in the passenger seat of an
early 1990’s mid-sized sedan, possibly an Oldsmobile.
The suspect approached the victim as the girl was walking northbound on South Church Street near the
intersection of Wooster Street. The victim was motioned to get into the car as the suspect stated,
“Come, get in,” as the passenger side front door was being opened.
The victim felt scared and uneasy about the woman and immediately entered the Bowling Green Police
Division building.
The police are searching video surveillance and further investigating the incident.
