Area motorcyclist hurt in crash

MCCOMB – A Perrysburg man was injured in a Monday motorcycle crash in Hancock County, south of the
village.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 4:23 p.m. James Austermiller was driving a 2002
Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Ohio 235, just north of Township Road 84, when he entered a
left curve and lost control.
Austermiller then drove off the left side of the roadway, causing the motorcycle to slide on its left
side, coming to rest in a field.
Austermiller was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, by Hanco EMS.
He was not listed as a patient at the hospital this morning.
The crash was under investigation by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
