PERRYSBURG - Downtown Perrysburg Inc. will present the 13th annual Cruise by the River from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The Honor Guard and playing of the National Anthem will begin at noon, with entertainment on the DPI Stage beginning at 9 a.m. by Cindy Slee and Aaron Keaster.
Louisiana Avenue will be closed to through traffic at 6 a.m. until after 5 p.m. from Front Street to Indiana Avenue, where more than 200 classic antique and specialty cars will be displayed by their owners, with many listed for sale.
Festivities include festival food provided as a fundraiser for Exchange Club of Perrysburg; gift card giveaways every hour; a beer garden from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.; and music, a 50/50 raffle and best of show awards. The Skotynsky Group will host a hospitality suite from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. At the conclusion of the car show, owners will once again drive their vehicles by Kingston Residence of Perrysburg.
"This is one of DPI's largest fundraisers. The majority of the proceeds from the event will go to fund the many family-free activities presented by DPI throughout the year," said Jeff Huskisson, DPI board member and event chair.
"The funds we generate help fulfill our mission of providing community events to further enhance Perrysburg's awesome quality of life,' said Rick Thielen, DPI executive director.
Car registration the day of the show is $15, with entrance at Indiana and Louisiana avenues. For a car entry registration form or other information, contact Thielen at (419) 872-6246 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
