|Accidents send 4 to hospitals|

Four people were sent to area hospitals as the result of three crashes in Wood County Wednesday and Thursday.
On Wednesday at 2:47 a.m. on U.S. 23, Juan Valle, Fostoria, was northbound and was passing three vehicles when he attempted to continue passing a vehicle driven by Roger Pryor, Sidney.
Pryor was turning west onto West Millgrove Road. Valle reportedly drove off the left side of the road into grass, and then struck Pryor's vehicle.
Pryor was taken to Fostoria Hospital by Bradner EMS. His passenger, Ronald Woodcock, Urbana, sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
Valle was cited for passing within 100 feet of an intersection.
At 5:06 p.m. that day, Samuel Kern, Risingsun, was westbound on U.S. 6 just west of Bradner Road when he failed to stop with an assured clear distance and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Martin Sanchez, Napoleon.
Sanchez had been stopped in traffic for a railroad crossing.
Sanchez sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Bradner EMS.
Kern was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
On Thursday at 10 a.m., Jared Zernhel, Custar, was southbound on Custar Road, south of Ohio 18, when he drove off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.
He was taken by McComb EMS to Wood County Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
He was cited for failure to control and no seat belt.
