A motorcycle accident on Interstate 75 just north of the Bowling Green exit tied up traffic and closed the interstate for more than 20 minutes Friday afternoon.
The operator of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Charles Howard of New Bedford, Mass., was airlifted from the scene and taken to University of Toledo Medical College. However, his injuries were minor, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
The main accident, at 2:36 p.m., caused several secondary accidents involving other drivers trying to move past the collision site and being distracted, according to a dispatcher.
