Dr. Mary Ellen Mazey conferred degrees on 917 students at the 277th commencement ceremony of Bowling Green State University this morning.
She noted the ages ranged from an 18-year-old who received an associate’s degree to a 61-year-old master’s degree recipient.
1975 BGSU graduate Linda A. Watters was the commencement speaker for the summer graduation program. Watters shared how she served as the Homecoming Queen in 1972 and is now a successful businesswoman. She challenged the graduates to be ethical and told them, “Your journey begins today.”
