Tom Keith, Regional Executive Director of Otterbein Portage Valley, Pemberville, has announced Otterbein Portage Valley's skilled nursing facility has earned a deficiency-free state survey.
A deficiency-free survey in Ohio's rigorous annual examination is one of the top indications of excellence for nursing facilities. Facilities are thoroughly surveyed and rated on core criteria including: quality care, safety, administration, food service, nursing care and patient rights.
"Our state survey affirms the outstanding holistic care that is provided by our Partners (employees)," commented Keith. "Having earned deficiency-free state surveys for two years in a row, the communities surrounding Otterbein Portage community can rest assured that we are ready and able to provide the nursing care that they may need." Otterbein Portage Valley's skilled nursing facility is one part of the continuing care retirement community that also includes independent living and assisted living. Mr. Keith invites all to come and visit the community to experience the spirit of Otterbein.
