John and Michelle Maurer
Michelle Barbara Simmons and John Douglas Maurer were united in marriage April 13 at the Toledo Country Club.
Pastor Kevin Crawford conducted the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Karen Simmons, 135 N. Grove St., Bowling Green.
The groom's parents are Robert and Patricia Maurer, 445 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Pronovias strapless tulle dress with a sweetheart neckline with feather accent. She chose a short veil with satin trim.
Amy Simmons, Chicago, and Elizabeth Simmons, Columbus, both sisters-in-law of the bride, were matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Shelby Barnes, Kent, cousin of the bride; Elizabeth Iott, Perrysburg, and Kathleen Maurer, Gainsville, Fla., both sisters of the groom; Christine Ortenzio, Columbus; and Angela Pucci, Cincinnati.
They wore knee-length strapless navy dresses with sweetheart necklines.
Marilyn, Katherine and Julia Iott, Perrysburg, nieces of the groom; and Camille Simmons, Columbus, niece of the bride, were flower girls. They wore white tutus with gold accents.
Ring bearer was William Iott, Perrysburg, nephew of the groom.
David Maurer of Bowling Green, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Kenneth Maurer, Bowling Green, brother of groom; Kory Iott, Perrysburg, brother-in-law of the groom; Brian Simmons, Columbus, and Phillip Simmons, Chicago, both brothers of the bride; Brian Wood, Cincinnati; Patrick Fleming, Cleveland; and Matthew Fritz, Orlando, Fla.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Millenius Strings.
The reception was also held at the Toledo Country Club, with The Danger Brothers providing music.
Following a wedding trip to Italy, the newlyweds are at home at 555 Haskins Road, Bowling Green.
The bride graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2004 and Bowling Green State University in 2008. She is employed by Wood County Insurance Agency Inc.
The groom graduated from Maumee Valley Country Day School in 2004 and from Miami University, Oxford, in 2008. He is employed with Greenbriar Inc.
