CUSTAR - Megan Anne Woltmann became the bride of Evan Joseph Geno on June 29 at St. Louis Catholic Church.
The officiant was Fr. Jeff Walker, cousin of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Lori Woltmann, Malinta. The groom is the son of Mike and Tina Geno, New Bavaria.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless lace and tulle ballgown with a sweetheart neckline and cathedral-length train. It had a gathered chiffon waist and a beaded band. She wore a crystal-studded cathedral veil with a gemstone and pearl tiara. Her bouquet of white hydrangeas, calla lillies, and white and coral roses with spikes of gemstones and pearls was wrapped in a remnant of her mother's bridal gown.
Dana Smith, Columbus, was the maid of honor. The junior maid of honor was Rylie Craig, Bowling Green, cousin of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Kristin Carter, Custar, cousin of the bride; Chelsea Junge, Hamler; and Maggie Thompson, Toledo, cousin of the groom.
Sydney Craig of Bowling Green, cousin of the bride, was junior bridesmaid.
The attendants wore coral gowns with a floral one-shoulder strap and carried bouquets of kiwi green hydrangeas, berries, calla lillies, and white roses.
Bailey Dennis, Bloomdale, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
Ring bearer was Landon Elchinger, Deshler, cousin of the groom.
Brother of the groom Elliot Geno, Hilliard, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Cpl. Zack Wilhelm, North Carolina; Denton Blue, Hamler; and Nick Elchinger, Deshler, cousin of the groom.
Dan Rhamy, North Carolina, cousin of the bride, and Jared Elchinger, Ney, cousin of the groom, were ushers.
A dinner-dance reception was held at the Defiance Knights of Columbus.
The couple honeymooned on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and are currently making their home in Malinta.
The bride graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2010 and earned a master's degree in education, also from BGSU, on Aug. 10. She is employed as an English teacher at Defiance High School.
The groom, a 2010 graduate of BGSU, is a project engineer at Allied Moulded Products in Bryan.
