PERRYSBURG - Mary Kay is celebrating International Women's Day and their 50th anniversary by striving to enter the Guinness Book of World Records by performing 1 million makeovers in one day at their One Woman Can Makeover Contest.
In this area, Mary Kay representatives have a goal to complete 1,000 makeovers during a seven-hour period Friday.
Area women are invited to the Holiday Inn Express in Perrysburg at 10621 Fremont Pike (U.S. 20) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday to have a free makeover and their before and after photograph taken.  No appointment is needed.
Participants will be entered to win an international vacation valued at $5,000.  There will also be 50 first prize winners who will receive a $5,000 donation to their favorite charity.  In addition, the 250 finalists will receive a special edition Mary Kay compact.
To enter the contest, participants must go to www.mkmakeovercontest.com to upload their before and after photographs and complete the entry form, with their makeover story.
"Mary Kay Ash started her business with the dream to inspire women to transform their lives," said Linda Bradley, a local executive sales director who has been with Mary Kay for 28 years and knew Mary Kay Ash personally.
For more details, visit the makeover site online at www.mkmakeovercontest.com or call Bradley at (419) 351-4865.
