Car seat safety checks May 20
FOSTORIA - Certified child passenger safety technicians will be performing free car seat safety checks Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Fostoria Community Hospital east parking lot.
During this important safety event, Fostoria-area residents will learn how to correctly install and use their child's car seat. Car seats will also be available at a reduced fee for parents who are informed that their child's car seat is unsafe.
The car seat check is co-sponsored by Fostoria Community Hospital and the Fostoria Kiwanis Club. It is partially funded by the Greater Fostoria Community Foundation and the United Way of Fostoria.
Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments are preferred. To schedule an appointment, call ProMedica Total Wellness at (419) 436-6688.
Fostoria hospital offers women's cancer support group
FOSTORIA - The Women's Cancer Survivor Support Group will meet Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Fostoria Community Hospital.
The group is free and open to the public.
The Women's Cancer Support Group was developed as an extended support service to women who have survived any form of cancer, their family members and interested public. The group meets the third Tuesday of each month in the Fostoria Community Hospital Conference Center, on the hospital's lower level, entrance 2.
