decoratingFOSTORIA – During the holiday season, families looking to capture the Christmas spirit with their
children are getting some help from an area agency. First Step, 1099 Columbus Ave., Fostoria, is hosting a
holiday event for families next Tuesday.Children are invited from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 6-8 p.m. to take part
in pre-Christmas festivities.Children will decorate freshly baked sugar cookies with toppings of their
choice and use their crafting skills to create their very own Christmas decoration. Fostoria City Council
member Georgiana Widmer will be on hand to read a holiday story to those in attendance.Besides the
decoration and cookie they create, each child will get a coloring book, crayons, and a blanket to take home
as a gift from First Step.The public is invited to celebrate the holiday with First Step while spending time
