Perrysburg author to sign books
Wood County author Tom Waggoner will be at a book signing event Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 1430 Secor Road in Toledo.
Waggoner, a resident of Perrysburg, will be available to sign copies of his book, "Danger in the Hills," from 3 to 5 p.m.
The protagonist of the children's book is Ernie, a thoughtful groundhog whose family means more to him than anything in the world. As a simple ground dweller, he knows that the world of animals is nothing less than cruel. He does all he can do to protect his mate Petunia and their kittens and when he discovers the old burrow is no longer safe for his family, he considers going back to the hills where he grew up. But the memories of what he faced there threaten to ruin their best chance for a fresh start. Does Ernie have the courage to face his nemesis? Ernie and his family learn that to survive, forgiveness and trusting one another trumps all.
