Terra offers food classes
FREMONT - The Kern Center at Terra State Community College offers several food related, non-credit classess for individuals and businesses.
Tonight there is a wine tasting and tour at the Chateau Tebeau Winery in Helena. The tour will run from 6 to 8 p.m. with instructors Bob and Mary Tebeau. Cost is $30 per person.
Other food classes offered this fall:
• Beer Appreciation - Oct. 2, 9 and 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost: $59. Instructor: Nate Wahl.
• Cake Decorating Basics - Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost: $39. Instructor: Richana Smith.
• Cake Decorating Flowers - Nov. 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 6-8 p.m. Cost: $39.
• Chocolate Temptations-Holiday Edition - Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $59, supplies included.

Adoption seminar Saturday
TOLEDO - The Pregnancy Center of Toledo will host a Principles of Adoption seminar on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The location will be McCord Road Christian Church.
The event is open to the public. Cost is $20, which covers lunch as well as a registration manual and other materials given at the workshop.
The seven-hour training will be led by Anne Pierson of Loving and Caring, who is also the author of My Baby and Me workshop series. The seminar is especially geared for volunteers, counselors and adoption workers who serve pregnant women.
It is being made possible by a $5,000 grant from the Charles A. Sullivan Foundation.

Dance party Saturday
FINDLAY - Findlay Dance Party will be held Saturday at the Findlay Moose Lodge, 1028 W. Main Cross St. Area adult singles and couples are welcome. Admission is $9.
