Kiwanis donates car seats to BG Pregnancy Center
The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club recently donated six new car seats valued at $300 to the Bowling Green Pregnancy Center's Earn While You Learn program.
The center program is 100 percent donor sponsored and gives participants an opportunity to earn needed items while at the same time exploring life-affirming options of parenting and adoption.
The donation coincides with both organizations' missions, as the Kiwanis Club's stated mission is to "change the world one child, one community at a time."
"One of the biggest fears our clients have is not being able to provide those initial basic needs for their child," said BG Pregnancy Center Executive Director Lynette Worthy. "When we allow them an opportunity to earn these items they are eager to do whatever it takes. The car seats tell them that our community cares."
