Alpha Zeta Master
The chapter met in the home of Rose Emmerich on May 20 with eight members present.
President Vicki Harris led the business meeting. Linda Harden read Beta Sigma Phi City Council minutes and again passed around the Tractor Pull work schedule for each to sign. The list will be forwarded to Laura Schultes.
Marilyn Pahl, program chairman, asked about the schedule for meetings for next year. Members chose to hold meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 12:30 at the Bowling Green Country Club. Nancy Germann has the country club's approval. The program committee will compose the new books for next year.
Germann will notify members when the annual picnic will be held. The members liked having it in September when everyone is back from vacation.
Harris installed officers for the coming year: President, Colleen Smith; vice president, Mary Tonjes; secretary, Harris; treasurer, Betty Goodman; parliamentarian, Marilyn Pahl; and City Council representative, Harden.
Newly installed President Smith asked the group to think about a theme and entertainment for Exemplar Night. Several ideas were floated.
Emmerich gave her program on author Debbie Macomber, who has written over 150 novels.
Emmerich served three desserts and fresh fruit and a social hour followed.
The next business meeting will be June 18 at 1:30 p.m. in Pahl's home.
