Montessori Gala bidder wins makeover party
One of the live auction items at the Montessori Mardi Gras Gala was the "BG Extremely Fun Makeover Party."
Jodi Anderson won as the highest bidder. She and 10 other women participated in the Makeover Party on March 23.
Three local businesses combined their efforts to for the makeover: Myles Baker Street, Serenity Spa, and BG Hats and Apparel.
The party began at Serenity Spa where the women traveled through four stations at the spa including: hair, massage, makeup and pedicure. The party then traveled to BG Hats and Apparel where they received fashion advice, saw the new spring fashion line and learned what the business has to offer women of all generations. Distinctive cheeses, sandwiches, and petite desserts were provided by Myles Baker Street at both locations.
"It was a rare opportunity to help coordinate a fantastic auction item, while supporting and bringing awareness to some special local businesses," said Meg Vostal, the Montessori School of Bowling Green's event coordinator.
