BG Women’s Club meets Wednesday
The Women’s Club of Bowling Green will meet on Wednesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Georgian
Room.
The program will be "Victory Garden, Victory Kitchen" presented by Lucy Long.
The club will hold their annual Book Exchange, along with books for Hospice. The "Recycling
Queen" will be chosen at the meeting.

Crossroads Quilters plan April 8 Quilt Frolic
NORTH BALTIMORE – Crossroads Quilters will meet for a "Quilt Frolic" next Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
at St. James United Methodist Church, 201 S. Second St.
Quilters will be working on their own projects or the club’s outreach projects.
Anyone interested in quilting is welcome to attend. Members will be glad to assist beginning quilters.
Bring your own sewing machine, fabric and supplies. An iron, ironing board and cutting board will be
supplied.
There is no charge. Feel free to bring a sack lunch or order out from local eateries.

Susan Komen race registration opens Friday
TOLEDO – Online registration will open on Friday at www.komennwohio.org for the 21st annual Toledo Race
for the Cure and the second annual Findlay Race for the Cure.
This year, for the first time, those who register from April 4-8 will have $5 taken off of the
registration fee for both races. Following April 8, the registration fee will be $30 for adults age 19
and over, and $20 for youth 18 and under.
The Findlay race will take place Sept. 27 and the Toledo race on Sept. 28. The mail-in registration
deadline will be Sept. 10. All funds raised will support the fight against breast cancer. For more

Last year’s two races included over 18,000 participants and volunteers. Three-quarters of net proceeds
generated by Komen’s northwest Ohio affiliate remain in northwest Ohio.
