Women's Club tackles Linus Project
The Women's Club of Bowling Green will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the clubhouse at 134 N. Prospect St.
The meeting will be devoted to completing and displaying blankets and afghans for the Linus Project. Items for the local food pantry will be collected. Club meetings are always open to the public. For more information, call 419-352-6052.
Komen to hold new volunteer orientation
TOLEDO - Komen for the Cure is offering two volunteer orientation sessions at its Northwest Ohio Office during the month of March.
The office is located in the American Red Cross Building at 3100 W. Central Ave., Suite 235.
The first orientation session will be next Wednesday from 5:30-7 p.m. Another orientation is scheduled the following Saturday, March 9, from 10 -11:30 a.m.
There will be discussion of Komen's mission to fight breast cancer, affiliate functions, and different volunteer opportunities available. Light refreshments will be provided. Everyone attending a volunteer orientation will be entered into a drawing to receive a door prize.
