Catholic Charities plans adoption information meeting
TOLEDO - Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo is hosting an Adoption Information Meeting Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in Toledo.  The meeting is for area couples who are interested in learning more about Catholic Charities' domestic and international adoption services.
Catholic Charities is a licensed agency for domestic adoptions for infants ages six months and younger.  They work with couples of all faiths and encourage open domestic adoptions in which a relationship is established between birth parents and adoptive parents.  Staff also facilitate international adoptions by conducting home studies and serving as a liaison to foreign adoption agencies.

The agency has a new website, , with information for birth mothers and adoptive couples. The website includes a live chat option and the trailer of a film that follows the journey of a recent local birth mother.

Singles dance Friday
HOLLAND - Glass City Singles will host a dance Friday from 8 p.m. until midnight at Holland Gardens, 6530 Angola Road. It is open to area singles 21 and over.
Admission is $8, however, for this dance men wearing ties will receive a $1 discount until 8:30.
