TONTOGANY -Eight chapter members met Monday at Shawn's Irish Pub in Waterville for lunch.
The meeting followed at the home of Jackie Shank, who opened by reading an article by Ralph Nelson from her church.
Thank you's were read. It was voted to give St. Paul's Lutheran Church a monetary gift for using the church for the chapter's Mother's Day program.
Committee reports were given, including Social. After discussion the date of June 4 was set for the picnic with spouses at Centennial Park. This will be a potluck, with hot dogs furnished by the sorority.
The group will attend a Mud Hens baseball game on July 23. Joyce Asmus will check on tickets.
Opening Day will be Sept. 7 at the home of Donna Lambert, with lunch at 1 p.m. The first meeting will be held Sept. 17.
The chapter will again sponsor the pie baking contest at the Tontogany Festival in August.
The program committee chairman had members sign up to host next year's meetings.
Service Committee reports flowers for area shut-ins and nursing home residents will be delivered in June.
It was voted to give the Cocoon Shelter $100.
Items for Otsego Food Pantry were brought to the meeting for delivery this week.
Ice cream sundae cups, cookies and beverages were served at the close of the meeting.
