Karen Ann Hawley and Corey Adam Spoores exchanged wedding vows July 27 at Mary's Lake Lodge at Estes Park, Colo.
Jesse Aanestad, childhood friend of the bride, officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Louise Hawley, Broomfield, Colo., and the late Bruce Hawley. The groom is the son of Dedi and Craig Spoores, Grand Rapids.
The bride was given in marriage her mother and her brother, Bobby Hawley.
The bride wore a strapless ivory satin A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline accented with an antique turquoise brooch on the side. She had a matching veil.
Kristine McInroy of Wagoner, Okla., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a turquoise tea-length, v-neck gown.
Bridesmaids were Susan Ludwig, Erie, Colo., and Annmarie Johnson of Boise, Idaho, both wearing red tea-length gowns; Pam Marschner, Denver, and Jana Gunn, Arlington Heights, Ill., both wearing identically styled gowns in navy. All are former gymnastics teammates of the bride.
Jamie Obee, Columbus, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Josh Spoores of Mars, Pa., and Ryan Spoores, St. James, Mo., both brothers of the groom; Mike Gillam. Elyria; and Jason Harramis, Eagle River, Alaska.
Jon Aanestad played violin and guitar during the ceremony.
A reception was held in Mary's Lake Lodge with music furnished by The Pineapple Crackers.
The newlyweds plan to honeymoon in Costa Rica in January. They are currently at home in Cleveland.
The groom graduated from Otsego High School in 1999, Hocking College in 2003, and Owens Community College in 2004. He is currently employed with the Vermillion Police Dept.
The bride graduated from Boulder High School, Boulder, Colo., in 1999; the University of Illinois-Champaign, Urbana in 2003; and Boston University School of Medicine in 2008. She is now an otolaryngology resident at Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
