Jennifer Anne Schippel and Eric George Jorrey were united in marriage April 21 at Ayersville United Methodist Church, Defiance. Rev. Clarence Dinnen led the 3 p.m. ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Duane and Susan Schippel, Pleasant Plain. The groom is the son of George and Lora Jorrey, Bowling Green. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown with cap sleeves, a chiffon split front and metallic embroidery. Matron of honor: Sister of the bride Veronica Henderson, Akron, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Nelson, Luckey, and Ashley Miller, Sandusky. All the attendants wore floor-length horizon blue gowns. Sarah Arkwright of Massillon, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a white dress with blue flowered headband. Ring bearer was Benjamin Arkwright, Massillon, nephew of the bride. Brothers of the groom Kevin Jorrey and Adam Jorrey, both of Bowling Green, served as best men.
Groomsman was Glen Arkwright, Massillon, brother of the bride. Organists were GayAnn Homsher, aunt of the groom, and Holly Homsher, cousin of the groom. Vocalist was Julie Frederick, cousin of the groom. A reception was held at the Defiance VFW Hall, with music furnished by Ron Burt of Magic Moment Entertainment. The couple honeymooned at Belamere Suites in Perrysburg and will make their home at 1292 Muirwood Drive, Zanesville. The bride graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education and from Monroeville High School in 2000. She is employed as a business teacher at John Marshall High School, Glen Dale, W.Va. The groom graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1997. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Ohio Northern University, Ada, in 2001 and an M.A. in Sociology from BGSU in December 2003. He is presently a professor of sociology at Ohio University, Athens.
