The 2013 Nancy Ullum Relay for Life Bake Sale and Bazaar will be held Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wood Lane offices at 541 Pearl St., Bowling Green.
A soup cook-off, slated for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the larger event, is back by popular demand. Cook-off pre-registration is helpful but not required. Email your name and description of your soup entry to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The winner will receive a $75 gift card.
Also returning is a cookie and chocolates sale. Sale visitors may select their own and pay by the pound. A large assortment will be available, plus boxes and containers for packaging.

Lindsay Marie Manecke and Jordan Mitchell Feick were united in marriage on Oct. 12. The ceremony was held at High Street United Methodist Church, Fostoria, with Pastor John Amstutz officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Roger and Teri Manecke, Fostoria. The groom is the son of Randy Feick, Fremont, and Chuck and Jenny Holman, Risingsun,
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a trumpet-style lace gown with a fall colored bouquet wrapped in burlap.
The bride was attended by her sisters, Cami Mareches and Alisha Bankey, as matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kati and Rachel Feick, sisters of the groom.
Ben Brickner served as best man.
Groomsmen were Mark Mareches, brother in-law of the bride; Steve Casey and Kyle Rosendale.

Quilters plan Dec. 10 Christmas lunch
NORTH BALTIMORE - The Crossroads Quilters will meet next Tuesday at St. James United Methodist Church, 201 S. Second St.
The business meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by show-and-tell. Quilters will then go to Crossroads Café for a Christmas lunch.
Anyone interested in quilting is welcome to attend. First-time visitors are not required to pay $2 per meeting dues.

John and Christie Wilson of Plain City, Ohio announce the engagement of their daughter, Casey, to John Moser, son of Robert and Maribeth Moser of Perrysburg.
The bride-to-be graduated from Ohio State University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in agricultural communications. She is a sales representative for Seed Consultants and crop production assistant at JCW Farms partnership in Plain City.
The future groom received a bachelor's degree in crop science in 2012, also from Ohio State. He is self employed and is engaged in the family's farming operation.
An August 2014 wedding is planned.

Jim and Elaine (Bitter) Arnold, Cygnet, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday with a family dinner at Dyers Family Buffet in Bowling Green.  
They were married Nov. 30, 1963 at Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha.  
The couple has three children: Amy (Steve) Thomson, Steven (Melissa) and Brian (Monica) Arnold. They also have seven grandchildren, Morgan, Staci, Courtney, Aaron, Madison, Allison and Alex.
Jim Arnold is retired from sales management and farming. Elaine is retired after 29 years as the secretary for the former Portage Elementary School (Elmwood district) and 10 years at Elder-Beerman.  She currently works part time, as an administrative receptionist, with Lutheran Social Services.
The Arnolds celebrated in July with a two week trip to the Nine National Parks of the Golden West, traveling with Elaine's sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Clarence Smithers of Millbury, who were also married 50 years, in April.
