Amanda and Wesley Thomas, Woodville, have chosen the name Lydia Leigh for their daughter born Feb. 4 at Wood County Hospital. She has a brother, Griffin, 2. Grandparents are Dan and Grace DeVaul, and Bill and Beth Thomas, all of North Baltimore.

Stamp Expo is this weekend
HOLLAND - The 88th annual Toledo Stamp Expo 2012 will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Holland Gardens, 6530 Angola Road.
The event will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The United States Post Office will provide a special hand-stamped cancellation available during the show, recognizing the 175th anniversary of Toledo as an Ohio post office.
From noon to 3 p.m. both days, the public is invited to bring in collections for evaluation.

Mr. and Mrs. Timothy McKenzie, Weston, announce the engagment of their daughter, Courtney Lynne, to Robert David Steiner, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Timothy Steiner, Delta; John Vrooman and the late Shannon Leonard, Metamora.
The bride-to-be, an Otsego High School graduate, is currently a student at Mercy College, Toledo, pursuing a career in phlebotomy.
Steiner, a graduate of Delta High School, has been in the U.S. Army for 10 years. He is currently serving in Afghanistan, where he expects to remain stationed until September.
The couple plans an Oct. 20 wedding at the Weston Church of Christ.

NORTH BALTIMORE - The North Baltimore Crossroads Quilters will meet next Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Historical Center, 229 N. Main St.  
The business meeting begins at 11 a.m. followed by show-and-tell.  Sharon Bishop will then demonstrate appliqué by hand and also by machine.  Those who wish to learn by doing along with her, are asked to bring their own materials.  Feel free to bring a sack lunch.  
Anyone interested in quilting is welcome to attend.  First-time visitors are not required to pay $2 per meeting dues. Call Esther Nagel at (419) 669-2226 for more details.

A "winter break" wine-tasting party will be held this Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Bowling Green Country Club.
It is open to the public. Cost is $25 per person, which includes appetizers and wines.
