BGSU Women's Center opens Brown Bag series with programs on image, Falcon Health Center PDF Print E-mail

The Women's Center at Bowling Green State University is opening its fall semester Brown Bag Series on Wednesday with a program titled "Total Package Professional: Creating the Ultimate You," presented by Kristi Hoffman. She is president and founder of Total Package Professional.
Brown Bag lunch presentations are offered weekly, noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, in the center at 107 Hanna Hall. They are all open to the public. Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch, or not.
Also scheduled during the first two months of the series are:
• Sept. 11 - The New Falcon Health Center: Services For Women. Presenter is Deborah Busdeker, BGSU Student Health Services director.
• Sept. 18 - Women Nobel Peace Laureates: Emplaced Rhetoric and the Politics of Peacebuilding, by Dr. Ellen Gorsevski, Communications.
• Sept. 25 - Latina Student Leaders at BGSU, a panel facilitated by Jay Torres-Almodovar of the Latino Student Union.
• Oct. 2 - A Forum with Women Faculty of Color. Panel facilitator is Dr. Susana Pena, Cultural and Critical Studies.
• Oct. 9 - Queering the Modern Campus: Racism in LGBT Campus Culture, by Saunda Brown, Dr. Ronald E. McNair Scholar.
• Oct. 16 - Making a Difference? The Politics of Identity in Victims' Advocacy, by Johnanna Ganz, Cocoon Shelter. In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
• Oct. 23 - Cosmo Sex Tips and Twilight: Media Impact on College Students' Attitudes about Sexuality and Relationships. Presenters are Allie Lahey and Chelsea Standley, Human Development and Family Studies.
• Oct. 30 - Physically Fit...and Feminist, a panel presentation.
