BG's Beta Sigma Phi chapters celebrate sorority's 83 years PDF Print E-mail

The Bowling Green Chapters of Beta Sigma Phi held their Founder's Day program on Sunday at the Bowling Green Country Club on Fairview Avenue. The sorority is celebrating its 83rd anniversary.
Laura Schultes led the group in the Beta Sigma Phi prayer before dinner was served.
The welcome was given by Ruah Buckingham, vice president of BSP City Council.
Colleen Smith read Mayor Edward's Proclamation, proclaiming April 27, 2014 as Beta Sigma Phi Day in Bowling Green.
The Founder's Day Pledge was read by Betty Goodman.
Chris Nickey announced the 2014-15 theme, which is "Expand Your Family Tree."
Each chapter gave the highlights of the 2013-14 year.
Diane Beaverson gave the highlights for Xi Gamma Kappa Chapter. Karen Dauer told about the highlights for Laureate Beta Theta. Janet Parks spoke for Alpha Delta Master Chapter. Alpha Zeta Masters Chapters highlights were given by
Vicki Harris. Ruah Buckingham spoke for Alpha Epsilon Master Chapter.
Woman of the Year Awards were given. Laura Schultes was Woman of the Year from Xi Gamma Kappa Chapter. Diane Beaverson made the presentation.
Chris Nickey was chosen from Laureate Beta Theta's Chapter with Ronda Young making that presentation. Each recipient has chosen to give a monetary gift to the cause of their choice.
The tables were decorated with a spring theme. Yellow tulips were in ivy bowls with lights and candles nestled in netting in punch bowl cups.
