Bowling Green Parks and Recreation will be hosting a training entitled Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children on Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bowling Green Community Center.
This  training program teaches adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.  The program believes and teaches that child safety is an adult's job.  
Participants will receive a Stewards of Children workbook and a "7 Steps to Protecting our Children" booklet.  
Local and national statistics regarding child sexual abuse and its effects on our community will be included in this training.  
This training has been approved for three continuing education credits for Ohio Social Workers, Counselors and Nurses.
