Wade and Joanne Shinew, Bowling Green, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with a family gathering.
They were married Aug. 16, 1953 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Bowling Green.
The Shinews have four daughters, Michelle, Columbus; Cindy and Dawn, both of Bowling Green; and Kim, Champaign, Ill. They have eight grandchildren, and expect their first great-grandchild this month.
Wade was a music teacher for 30 years, teaching in Hoytville, Liberty Township and Rossford. After his retirement the couple farmed in Portage.
The family plans a trip to St. Thomas later this year.
