Milton and Celia (Belleville) Aring, rural Bowling Green, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this weekend.
They were married Aug. 10, 1963 at the old First Baptist Church on Oak Street in Bowling Green.
Celia Aring taught elementary vocal music in Bowling Green in the early 1960s, then was choir director at St. Paul Lutheran Church, New Rochester. She retired from Bowling Green State University in 2000 as a secretary.
Milton Aring was employed at American Shipbuilding Co. in Toledo for 25 years, until it closed in 1982. He then worked at Hansen Industries, Toledo, retiring in 1993. He continues as a lifelong farmer.
They have four children, Dr. Ann Aring Ciuca, Plain City; Nancy Martin, Pemberville; Cheryl Berry, Powell; and Charles, Pemberville. There are 10 grandchildren: Kristin, Kevin, Ben, Daniel, Caroline, Grace, Alexis, Ethan, Megan and Joel.
A visit to Amish Country and a family dinner are planned to mark the occasion.
