ANNIVERSARY: Jim and Margi Beck

Jim and Margi Beck, former residents of Bowling Green, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a
family dinner on Sunday.
They were married Feb. 7, 1954 in DeGraff, Ohio.
The couple has three sons, Larry (Treva), Brownsville, Tenn.; Ken (Mikki), Waco, Texas; and Ted (Naomi),
Jackson, Tenn. Another son, Jeff, died in 2007, and twin sons died in infancy.
They also have 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
The Becks lived in Bowling Green for 24 years before moving to Jackson upon retirement. He had been a
carpenter, working on buildings on the BGSU campus, and was later self-employed.
She was a Spanish teacher in Perrysburg, and later in a state educational program, teaching ABE, ESL and
GED to Mexican immigrants wanting to leave the migrant field. She also taught GED classes at the Wood
County jail.
