Jim and Elaine (Bitter) Arnold, Cygnet, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday with a family dinner at Dyers Family Buffet in Bowling Green.
They were married Nov. 30, 1963 at Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha.
The couple has three children: Amy (Steve) Thomson, Steven (Melissa) and Brian (Monica) Arnold. They also have seven grandchildren, Morgan, Staci, Courtney, Aaron, Madison, Allison and Alex.
Jim Arnold is retired from sales management and farming. Elaine is retired after 29 years as the secretary for the former Portage Elementary School (Elmwood district) and 10 years at Elder-Beerman.  She currently works part time, as an administrative receptionist, with Lutheran Social Services.
The Arnolds celebrated in July with a two week trip to the Nine National Parks of the Golden West, traveling with Elaine's sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Clarence Smithers of Millbury, who were also married 50 years, in April.
