Clint and Boots Thompson, Wayne, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 27 at the Wayne Church of Christ.
Their entire family attended the church service together, with a catered dinner at the church following. After lunch, they watched a slide show of their 70 years together.
Clint Thompson retired from farming, the Wood County Sheriff's Department, then Elmwood Local Schools as a bus driver. Boots was a Wood County Hospital Guild volunteer for over 30 years, and a Sunday school teacher.
They have two daughters, Marcia Adkins, Bowling Green, and Sharon Stone, Wayne. A son, Tom, is deceased. They have eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
