PORTAGE - Mary Jo Ackerman and Corey Tyda exchanged wedding vows June 23 at the Rudolph Christian Church.
Pastor Doug McKinney conducted the 3 p.m. ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a halter-style ivory beaded lace gown with beaded straps in the back. She chose a short ivory veil with a beaded edge.
Cousin of the bride Ally Whitney, Fishers, Ind., was the matron of honor. She wore a short coral satin gown with a V-neckline and ruched waist.
Bridesmaids, wearing identical gowns, were Cathy Hahn, Waterville; Danielle Dunkin of Sandusky, sister of the bride; and Samantha Tyda, Lake Dallas, Texas, sister-in-law of the groom.
Larissa Dunkin of Sandusky, the bride's niece, was flower girl. She wore a sleeveless coral and ivory dress with a coral sash and tulle skirt.
The ring bearer was Brandon Tyda, Lake Dallas, nephew of the groom.
Codey Tyda, Bowling Green, was best man for his twin brother.
Groomsmen were Shane Tyda, Lake Dallas, brother of the groom; Jared Borton, Centerburg, and Joel Borton, Naples, Fla., both cousins of the groom.
Musicians for the ceremony were organist Barb Bushman and vocalist Holly Spencer.
A reception was held at the Freeport Banquet Hall, Wayne, with music furnished by A&J Sound.
The couple took a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, with a brief stay in South Beach, Miami, Fla. They are now making their home on Clough Street, Bowling Green.
The bride graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2010 and is currently employed part-time. She plans to resume college classes in 2014.
The groom graduated from BGHS in 2010 and Owens Community College in 2012. He is employed by VehTek Systems, Bowling Green.
