The third annual Bead Shop Hop will bring small business bead shops together to promote shopping local and to aid hospitalized children.
Coyote Beads & Jewelry at 178 S. Main St. in Bowling Green is among the five stores taking part in the 2013 hop, slated for this weekend, Friday through Sunday.
The other shops on the hop route are:
• Bonita Bead Boutique at 215 Conant in Maumee
• JuJu Beadz at 829 Tiffin Ave., Findlay
• Meant to Bead at 6536 W. Central Ave., Toledo
• Bead Attic at 3715 W. Alexis Road, Toledo
Each of the five bead shops will have sales throughout the weekend and will have a project available to pick up or make-and-take. A goody bag will be given to the first 125 customers. Each store will have only 25 bags to give away.
Stores are asking participants to bring a focal bead to shop hop. All donations will benefit Mercy Children's Hospital in Toledo. Anyone who is unable to participate, but wants to donate, should drop off beads in sizes 8-12mm to one of the stores. Â
Pick up a Bead Shop entry card at the first shop visited and receive a stamp for each shop. Participant must have a full card to be eligible to win the grand prize and first prizes. Â
