INVITATION TO BID SEALED BIDS for the furnishing of the necessary materials and construction of the PROJECT CARBON: PARK ROAD CONSTRUCTION OFF-SITE SANITARY SEWER (SS#140H) OFF-SITE WATERLINE (WL#183M) TROY TOWNSHIP, WOOD COUNTY, OHIO will be received by the Wood County Port Authority, at the office of Wood County Port Authority, c/o Wood County Economic Development Commission, 639 Dunbridge, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402 at 10:00 a.m. (Local Time) Thursday, August 29, 2013 and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. The scope of work consists of constructing 3,400 linear feet of asphalt and concrete roadway with curb and gutter, underdrains, storm sewers, traffic signal, pavement markings, signage and miscellaneous appurtenances. Also included is the construction of 6,800 feet of 3" and 4" force main, sanitary sewer pump station, 5,260 feet of 12" water main, 12 - 12" gate valves, 14 fire hydrant assemblies, and 175 feet of 12" waterline installation by directional drilling, and miscellaneous appurtenances and work items. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. For work types that ODOT does not pre-qualify, the LPA must still select a qualified contractor. Subcontractors are not subject to the pre-qualification requirement. The "prime" contractor must perform no less than 30 percent of the total original contract price.
