NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City Council of the City of Bowling Green, Ohio, has scheduled a Public Hearing to consider an ordinance establishing interim zoning of R-2 Single Family Residential zoning for the 0.75 acres of land generally known as 16381 Brim Road and recently annexed to the City of Bowling Green. The hearing will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013, at 6:45 p.m. In the Council Chambers, City Administrative Services Building, 304 North Church Street, Bowling Green, Ohio. ORDINANCE NO. 8254 Passed July 15, 2013 ORDINANCE FOR CLEANING OF STREETS BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT WHEREAS, the City of Bowling Green has for many years financed the cleaning of its streets by special assessment levied on the lots and lands in Bowling Green, Ohio, by a percentage of the tax valuation of the property assessed, and WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to continue to have the cleaning of streets in the City of Bowling Green financed by special assessments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWLING GREEN, OHIO: SECTION 1: That the cost and expense of cleaning the streets, alleys, lanes, squares, and public places in the City be paid for by special assessments levied upon non-tax exempt lots and lands within said City of Bowling Green, Ohio SECTION 2: Said special assessment shall be based upon a percentage of the tax valuation of all non-tax exempt lots and lands within the City of Bowling Green, Ohio to produce the sum of $430,000.00 and shall be payable annually in two equal installments during the period of the assessment; that said assessments are hereby levied on all non-tax exempt lots and lands in the City of Bowling Green for the year 2013. The City Finance Director is authorized and directed to certify the same to the County Auditor of Wood County, Ohio, to be collected as other taxes are collected and paid. ORDINANCE NO. 8255 Passed July 15, 2013 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE UTILITIES DIRECTOR TO APPLY FOR A GRANT AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE OHIO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE RESERVOIR PUMP STATIONS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWLING GREEN, COUNTY OF WOOD, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Utilities Director is hereby authorized to apply for a grant and execute an agreement with the Ohio Public Works Commission for the design and construction of the reservoir pump station. ORDINANCE NO. 8258 Passed July 15, 2013 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATOR TO ACCEPT AN EASEMENT FROM THE CONDOMINIUMS AT SHAMROCK VILLAGE, LLC, FOR PURPOSES OF CONNECTING OR INTERCONNECTING UNDERGROUND UTILITIES FOR WATER, SEWER OR ELECTRICAL SERVICE AND TO MAINTAIN SAID LINES IN PERPETUITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWLING GREEN, COUNTY OF WOOD, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Municipal Administrator is hereby authorized to accept a utility easement from the Condominiums at Shamrock Village, LLC, in substantial accordance with the easement attached hereto and made a part hereof for purposes of connecting or interconnecting underground utilities for water, sewer, or electrical service and to maintain said line in perpetuity. SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take effect as an emergency measure. The reason for the emergency is to allow for the prompt installation of water services for use in Carter Park, thereby protecting the public health, safety and well-being of our citizens.
