SPECIAL ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS,the City of Bowling Green has for many years financed
thecleaningof its streets by special assessment levied on the lots andlands inBowling Green, Ohio, by a
percentage ofthe tax valuation ofthe property assessed, andWHEREAS,it is deemed advisable tocontinue to
have the cleaning of streetsin the City of Bowling Greenfinanced by special assessments.NOW,THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWLINGGREEN,OHIO:SECTION1: Thatthe cost and expense of
cleaning the streets, alleys, lanes,squares,and public places in the City be paid for by
specialassessments leviedupon non-tax exempt lots and lands within saidCity of Bowling
Green,OhioSECTION2: Said special assessment shall be based upon apercentage of thetax valuation of all
non-tax exempt lots and landswithin the Cityof Bowling Green, Ohio to produce the sum of$430,000.00 and
shallbe payable annually in two equal installmentsduring the periodof the assessment; that said
assessments are herebylevied on allnon-tax exempt lots and lands in the City ofBowlingGreen for theyear
2013. The City Finance Director is authorized anddirected tocertify the same to the County Auditor of
Wood County,Ohio, to becollected as other taxes are collected and paid.SECTION3: This ordinance shall
