ORDINANCECERTIFYING UNPAID COST OF SNOW REMOVAL TO THE COUNTY
AUDITOR FORPLACEMENT ON THE TAX DUPLICATE. WHEREAS,the
Charter of theCity of Bowling Green, Ohio and OhioRevisedcode Section 701.05 grants assessment
authority; andWHEREAS,the Codified Ordinances requires property owners to clear snowonpremises within 24
hours after the abatement of any storm duringwhich such snow and ice may have accumulated;
andWHEREAS,thePublic Works Director, for two weeks prior to January 1 of eachyear,published this
determination in the newspaper of localcirculation tonotify property owners to regularly clean and
keepall sidewalksabutting their premises free and clear of snow and icewithin 24 hoursafter the
abatement of any storm during which suchsnow and ice mayhave accumulated during the ensuing months of
theyear. Should any suchsnow and ice be found within the city, thePublic Works Director maycause these
sidewalks to be cleaned at theexpense of the city;WHEREAS,certain property owners failed to clear the
snow within therequiredtime requiring the city to remove the same at the cost of theCity;andWHEREAS,the
property owners upon demand have refused toreimburse the Cityof Bowling Green for the cost of such
services;WHEREAS,the finance director has certified such costs to the Councilforcertification to the
Wood County Auditor to place on the taxduplicate.NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITYOF BOWLINGGREEN, WOOD COUNTY, OHIO:SECTION1: That the amountsbe certified to theWood County Auditor
for theparcels represented onthe exhibit attached hereto and made a parthereof and be placed onthe tax
duplicate for the year 2013.SECTION2: The Finance Directoris hereby directed to send a certified copyof
this ordinance to theWood County Auditor so that such sums canbe placed on said taxduplicate.SECTION3:
