"Anyone wishing to submit an engagement to The Sentinel-Tribune is asked to copy the format in the fictitious engagement printed below, substituting your own information in place of that shown. We have tried to include as many issues as possible in this example of an engagement, including how to list divorced parents, multiple degrees, etc. Be sure to clarify who is announcing the engagement: her parents, his parents, both sets, or no one at all.

The bride-to-be graduated from Lakota High School in 1999 and from Bowling Green State University in 2005 with a B.S. in Sociology. She earned a masters degree in public policy from Allegheny College, Allegheny, Pa., in 2007 and is employed as a research assistant at the Web Position Lab in Chicago.
Johnston graduated from New Wellington High School, Princeton, in 2000 and received an associate degree in business from Owens Community College in 2003. He served in the U.S. Navy from 2004 until 2008 and is currently employed as a rocket scientist for NASA in Huntsville, Ala.
They are planning a June 23, 2010 wedding at St. Marks Methodist Church, Batavia.
