The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team announced its schedule which is highlighted by 13 regular-season home games.
The Falcons will face Valparaiso, Temple and Hartford in its non-league schedule, and will play in two tournaments before beginning Mid-American Conference play at Kent State on Jan. 7.
BG's first regular-season game will be in Philadelphia against Temple Nov. 14.
"We are excited about our schedule for this season," said BG head coach Curt Miller, who is in his eighth season as head coach. "Our non-conference schedule will provide some tough tests for our young team, but will offer the opportunity for growth as we prepare for the Mid-American Conference.
"We are particularly pleased about having five home non-conference games, including four in a row before our home fans during the month of December," he continued. "I am also excited that we have renewed some regional rivalries to allow us to play some local teams. In fact, we will not leave the state of Ohio during the entire month of December."
BG will take part in the UNC-Greensboro Marriott Classic (Nov. 28-29) at the site of their Sweet 16 game in 2006, and will travel to the Dayton Flyer Classic at the end of December.
Other non-league opponents include home games against Detroit, Youngstown State and St. Bonaventure.
The Falcons open the season at Anderson Arena on Nov. 4 in an exhibition game against Findlay.
The schedule is on page 13.
