Transgender advocates are planning to protest a musician scheduled to perform tonight at Howard's Club H. In a press release issued Monday, Joelle Ruby Ryan said that advocates for transgender and transsexuals opposed the appearance of the musician known as Bitch because she performs at the annual Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, which bars transgender and transsexual women from attending. The press release says that transgender advocates have protested the festival and those who perform there since the early 1990s. The protest tonight will be from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.
